Senior IAS officer Santhosh Babu (IAS:1995:TN), Principal Secretary in the Information Technology Department, has applied for Voluntary Retirement from Service (VRS). He is also the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Fibrenet Corporation (TANFINET).
According to Secretariat sources, the senior officer had decided to quit the service after a difference of opinion that broke out in connection with a high value tender project.
