It seems that three names are leading the charge in power circles: Sanjay Arora (IPS:1988:TN), Braj Kishore Ravi (IPS:1989:TN), and Shankar Jaiwal (IPS:1990:TN). At the moment, Sanjay Arora serves as Delhi Police Commissioner, Braj Kishore Ravi is serving as Director General of Civil Defence & Commandant General of the Home Guards, and Shankar Jawal is serving as the DGP/CP for Greater Chennai Police.

According to our sources, the state government has already sent UPSC a list of 12 IPS officers.

They are;

  2. Braj Kishore Ravi (IPS:1989)
  3. Shankar Jiwal (IPS:1990)
  4. A K Viswanathan (IPS:1990)
