The Tamil Nadu government on Friday (February 6, 2026) ordered promotions, transfers and postings of 13 IPS officers with immediate effect, according to a notification issued by the Home (SC) Department.
The names of the officers and their posting details are as follows;
Ankit Singh (IPS:2022:TN), who was serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police, Kumbakonam Sub-Division in Thanjavur district, has been promoted to Superintendent of Police and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), Salem City, replacing N.U. Sivaraman.
Shristi Singh (IPS:2022:TN), who was serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police, Pollachi Sub-Division in Coimbatore district, has been promoted to Superintendent of Police and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Trichy City, replacing T. Eswaran.
S Rajeswari (IPS:2006:TN), who was serving as Inspector General of Police/Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai, has been posted as Inspector General of Police, Crime Against Women and Children, Chennai, replacing A. Kayalvizhi.
A Kayalvizhi (IPS:2007:TN), who was serving as Inspector General of Police, Crime Against Women and Children, Chennai, has been posted as Inspector General of Police/Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai, replacing S. Rajeswari.
RV Ramya Bharati (IPS:2008:TN), who was serving as Inspector General of Police on compulsory wait in the office of the DGP/HoPF, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, has been posted as Inspector General of Police, Crime, Chennai, replacing Dr. P.K. Senthil Kumari.
NU Sivaraman (IPS:2021:TN), who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), Salem City, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Vellore district, replacing A. Mylvaganan.
A Myilvaganan (IPS:2003:TN), who was serving as Superintendent of Police, Vellore district, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Southern Range, Chennai, in the existing vacancy.
T Eswaran (IPS), who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Trichy City, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Avadi Police Commissionerate, in the existing vacancy.
I Eswaran, who was serving as Superintendent of Police, Railways, Chennai, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anna Nagar, Greater Chennai Police, replacing R. Udhayakumar.
R Udhayakumar (IPS:2021:TN), who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anna Nagar, Greater Chennai Police, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Koyambedu, Greater Chennai Police, replacing Sujit Kumar.
