Tamil Nadu : M Malik Feroze Khan appointed as new ombudsman for local bodies

Retired IAS officer M Malik Feroze Khan on Friday took oath as Tamil Nadu local Bodies ombudsman. Feroze took oath from governor Banwarilal Purohit at Raj Bhawan. He will hold the post for three years

The ombudsman has the power to call for an inquiry with respect to any charges of corruption, irregularities and maladministration in the state local bodies.
