Tamil Nadu govt effects major bureaucratic reshuffle, eight districts get new collectors

The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday issued transfer posting orders of 21 IAS officers in the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Apurva Verma (IAS:1987:TN) : Additional Chief Secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports development Department.
  2. B Jothi Nirmalasamy (IAS:2002:TN) : Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development and Women Limited.
  3. V Santha (IAS:2005:TN) : Collector, Tiruvarur.
  4. P Shankar (IAS:2006:TN) : Inspector General, Registration with additional charge of Director, Information and Public Relations and Managing Director, TN Arasu Cable TV Corporation.
  5. Prashant M Wadanere (IAS:2008:TN) : Joint Managing Director, Tangedco and Tantransco.
  6. P Ponniah (IAS:2009:TN) : Collector, Tiruvallur.
  7. T Anand (IAS:2009:TN) : Joint Secretary, Agriculture Department.
  8. T G Vinay (IAS:2009:TN) : Director, Sericulture, Salem.
