The Tamil Nadu government has promoted five IPS officers (1990 batch) from the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP).
They are ;
- Shankar Jiwal
- A K Viswanathan
- Abhash Kumar
- T V Ravichandran
- Seema Agrawal
Presently, Shankar Jiwal is posted as Chennai Police Commissioner ; A K Viswanathan is chief of Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation ; Abhash Kumar heads the civil supplies CID ; T V Ravichandran is on central deputaion and Seema Agrawal is a member of the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Service Recruitment Board (TNUSRB).
