Tamil Nadu: 27 IPS officers shifted, BK Ravi posted as DGP, Viligance, TANGEDO

The Tamil Nadu government on Friday (04.08.2023) undertook a significant overhaul of its police administration, initiating a comprehensive reshuffling by issuing transfer orders for a total of 27 IPS officers. This move reflects a substantial reorganization aimed at enhancing the functioning and effectiveness of the state’s law enforcement agencies.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

1. Braj Kishore Ravi (IPS:1989:TN), DGP/ Director of Civil Defence & Commandant General, Home Guards, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as DGP, Vigilance, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Ltd (TANGEDCO), Chennai.
2. K Vannia Perumal (IPS:1992:TN), DGP, Vigilance, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Ltd (TANGEDCO), Chennai, has been transferred and posted as DGP, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai.
3. Rajeev Kumar (IPS:1992:TN) has been posted as DGP, Training, Police Training College, Chennai.
4. B Bala Naga Devi (IPS:1995:TN), ADGP, Administration, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, EOW, Chennai.
5. Abhin Dinesh Modak (IPS:1997:TN), ADGP, EOW, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, SCRB, Chennai.

8. N Kamini (IPS:2004:TN), IGP, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as IGP/ Commissioner of Police, Trichy City.
