Tamil Nadu: 18 IPS officers shifted; AD Modak posted as CP of Tambaram

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday (09.07.2024) effected a major reshuffle in Police Administration by issuing transfer and posting orders for 18 IPS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Dr. A Amalraj (IPS:1996:TN), ADGP/Commissioner of Police, Tambaram, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Enforcement Bureau CID, Chennai.
2. Abin Dinesh Modak (IPS:1997:TN), ADGP, SCRB, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as ADGP/Commissioner of Police, Tambaram.
3. HM Jayaram (IPS:1996:TN), ADGP, Armed Police, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, SCRB, Chennai.
4. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal (IPS:1994:TN), now on VR at Office of DGP/HoPF, Chennai, has been posted as ADGP, Armed Police, Chennai.
5. G Venkatraman (IPS:1994:TN), ADGP, Crime Branch CID, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Administration, Office of DGP/HoPF, Chennai.
6. Vinit Dev Wankhade (IPS:1994:TN), ADGP, Administration, Office of DGP/HoPF, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Hqrs, Office of DGP/HoPF, Chennai.
7. TS Anbu (IPS:2001:TN), IGP, Crime Branch CID, Chennai, will hold full additional charge of the post of ADGP, Crime Branch CID, Chennai.
8. Sanjay Kumar (IPS:1994:TN), ADGP, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Coastal Security Group, Chennai.
9. Dr. Sandeep Mittal (IPS:1995:TN), ADGP, Coastal Security Group, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai.
10. Rajeev Kumar (IPS:1992:TN), DGP (Now on VR at Office of DGP/HoPF, Chennai), has been transferred and posted as DGP, Crime against Women and Children, Chennai.
11. R Tamil Chandran (IPS:1997:TN), ADGP, Crime against Women and Children, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Technical Services.
12. Prem Anand Sinha (IPS:2001:TN), IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police, (Law and Order), South, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as IGP, South Zone, Maduarai.
13. Dr. N Kannan (IPS:2002:TN), IGP, South Zone, Madurai, has been transferred and posted as IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police, (Law and Order), South, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai.
14. Asra Garg (IPS:20004:TN), IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police, (Law and Order), North, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as IGP, North Zone, Chennai.
15. KS Narenthiran Nayar (IAS:2005:TN), IGP, North Zone, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), North, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai.
16. Praveen Kumar Abhinapu (IPS:2005:TN), IGP/Commissioner, Tiruppur City, has been transferred and posted as IGP/Commissioner of Police, Salem City.
17. B Vijayakumari (IPS:2004:TN), IGP/ Commissioner of Police, Salem City, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Armed Police, Chennai.
