In a significant development, the Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday (02.10.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for 16 IAS officers.
One of the key appointments is that of Senior IAS officer Pradeep Yadav, who has been named Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;
- Dr. K Gopal (IAS:1992:TN), Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department.
- Pradeep Yadav (IAS:1992:TN), Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary/Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister.
- Rajesh Lakhoni (IAS:1992:TN), Additional Chief Secretary/Chairman and Managing Director, TNEB & TANGEDCO, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary/Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management.
- E Sundaravalli (IAS:2007:TN), Commissioner of Employment and Training, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Collegiate Education.
- B Vishnu Chandran (IAS:2015:TN), Joint Secretary, Public Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Employment and Training.
- A Amuthavalli (IAS:2005:TN), Commissioner of Social Welfare, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Handlooms, Handicraft, Textiles and Khadi Department.
- R Lilly (IAS:2006:TN), Special Secretary, Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Social Welfare.
- R Lalitha (IAS:2010:TN), Additional Commissioner (Revenue & Finance) Greater Chennai Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Director, Textiles.
- Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar (IAS:2016:TN), Commissioner, Corporation of Tiruppur, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, Public Department.
- Satyabrata Sahoo (IAS:1997:TN), Chief Electoral Officer & Principal Secretary, Public (Elections) Department, will hold full additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department.
- C Vijayaraj Kumar (IAS:1998:TN), Principal Secretary, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, has been given full additional charge of Secretary, Human Resources Management Department.
- K Nanthakumar (IAS:2007:TN), Secretary, Human Resources Management Department, has been transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of TNEB & TANGEDCO for appointment as Chairman & Managing Director.
- Dharmendra Pratap Yadav (IAS:1996:TN), Principal Secretary, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khandi Department, has been transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd. for appointment as its Principal Secretary/Chairman & Managing Director.
- Dr. S Swarna (IAS:1997:TN), Principal Secretary/ Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd. has been transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyann (RUSA) for appointment as its Principal Secretary/State Project Director.
- M Birathiviraj (IAS:2019:TN), Deputy Secretary, Finance Department, has been transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of Greater Chennai Corporation for appointment as its Deputy Commissioner (Revenue & Finance).
- J Jayakanthan (IAS:2005:TN), Formerly Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Watershed Development Agency for appointment as its Vice Chairperson & Managing Director.
