Sushil Kumar Singh (IRSME:1993), Chairperson of the Deendayal Port Authority, will continue to hold additional charge as Chairperson of the Mumbai Port Authority.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (03.06.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways’ proposal to extend Singh’s additional charge for six months with effect from 4 April 2025, or until a regular appointment is made, or until further orders—whichever is earlier.
Singh has been holding the Mumbai Port Authority charge since October 2024, and this marks his second six-month extension.
