Sushant Sudan (IES: 2012) has been designated as the Private Secretary to Professor SP Singh Baghel, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare. This appointment, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, is detailed in an order released by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday, October 30, 2023.
This appointment is set to continue until January 6, 2026, or until the end of his four-year central deputation tenure, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until his service as Private Secretary to the Minister concludes, or until further orders are issued—whichever of these scenarios occurs earlier.
It’s worth noting that prior to this appointment, Mr. Sudan was serving as Deputy Secretary within the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways under the central staffing scheme. However, his tenure in this role was curtailed due to his new appointment as the Private Secretary to Minister of State, Professor Baghel.
