The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of senior Advocate Balaji Medamalli @ M Balaji, as a Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
The recommendation was made during the Collegium’s meeting held on January 28, 2026. With this decision, the proposal for Medamalli’s elevation to the Bench has cleared the Collegium stage.
Balaji Medamalli is a practising advocate with long-standing experience at the Bar. The appointment will take effect following approval by the Government of India and subsequent notification.
