Subodh Kumar Jaiswal (IPS:1985:MP) has been appointed as the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a two-year period. Presently, he is serving as Director General (DG) of Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF).

The government notification came on Tuesday evening after a series of meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Justice of India and opposition leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
