SPG Director Arun Sinha gets DG rank, 3 IPS officers promoted to Spl DG rank

The Modi government on Saturday granted Arun Kumar Sinha (IPS:1987:KL) DG rank by temporarily upgrading the post of Director, SPG to the level of DG, as a measure personal to the officer.

Further, three senior IPS officers have been granted Special DG rank (in-situ).

They are

1. Sudhir Kumar Saxena (IPS:1987:MP), ADG, CISF, has been promoted to the level of Special Director General (Spl.DG) on in-situ basis.
2. Sanjay Chander (IPS:1987:WB), ADG, CRPF, has been promoted to the level of Special Director General (Spl.DG) on in-situ basis.
3. Surendra Pawar (IPS:1987:OR), ADG, BSF, has been promoted to the level of Special Director General (Spl.DG) on in-situ basis.
