Senior IPS officer YB Khurania (IPS:1990:OR) is likely to become the next Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha. Speculation about his appointment arose after the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) approved his immediate repatriation to the state on Friday evening (02.08.2024).

In Odisha, Khurania held various key positions and served in multiple capacities, including Superintendent of Police in the districts of Nayagarh, Jajpur, Rourkela, Mayurbhanj, and Ganjam.
