The post of Shiv Kumar (IAS:2008:AGMUT) as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the central government has approved the re-designation of Kumar as a measure personal to him with effect from 01.01.2022 or from the date of taking over charge of the re-designated post, whichever is later and for a period up to 02.12.2026 i.e. total tenure of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.
