Shefali Swaroop (IRS-IT:1993), the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), will continue to fulfill the additional responsibilities of being the Chief Vigilance Officer for both Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), Delhi, and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL), Delhi. This extension has been sanctioned for an additional period of six months, in accordance with an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday, August 7, 2023. The authorized body has endorsed the proposal to extend Shefali Swaroop’s additional charge as the CVO of MTNL for the specified duration. This extension will remain in effect beyond August 16, 2023, or until a regular CVO is appointed, or until further instructions are issued, whichever event transpires earlier.
