The central government, on August 12, 2023, adjusted the responsibilities of Sharandeep Kaur Brar (IAS:2009:HY). Her current term as Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Haryana, has been curtailed. Ms. Brar has been appointed as General Manager (Region) at the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Regional Office, Haryana. This decision was conveyed through a Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) order. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the reduction of her tenure as DCO/DCR and her subsequent appointment as General Manager (Region) at FCI, Haryana.
