SD Singh Jamwal re-designated as DGP of Ladakh

Senior IPS officer SD Singh Jamwal (IPS:1995:AGMUT) has been re-designated as the Director General of Police (DGP) for the Union Territory of Ladakh. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday (30.09.2024) re-designated the post of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Ladakh, as Director General of Police (DGP), Ladakh. Prior to this, Jamwal held the position of ADGP, Ladakh.

In June 2023, the Ministry of Home Affairs transferred Jamwal from Jammu and Kashmir and appointed him as the Head of Police for the UT of Ladakh.
