The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended repatriation of Justice Atul Sreedharan, Judge of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, to his parent High Court, the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium held on March 06, 2025.
Notably, On March 28, 2023, the Supreme Court collegium had recommended that Justice from Atul Sreedharan be transferred from MP High Court to J&K and Ladakh HC. Justice Atul Sreedharan has sought his transfer on the grounds that his elder daughter was set to begin practicing law the following year and would be appearing before the District Court and the Indore Bench of the High Court.
Subsequently, the Union government on April 27, 2023, notified his transfer to Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh HC.
