During a meeting held on August 3, the Supreme Court Collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, made recommendations for the transfer of 14 more judges from various High Courts. While the meeting occurred on August 3, the recommendations made during the meeting were publicly disclosed on August 10. This disclosure was facilitated by the publication of these recommendations on the official website of the Supreme Court Collegium.
They are;
From Telangana High Court:
- Justice Chillakuru Sumalatha is proposed to be transferred to the Karnataka High Court
- Justice Munnuri Laxman is proposed to be transferred to the Rajasthan High Court
- Justice Mummaneni Sudheer Kumar is proposed to be transferred to the Madras High Court
- Justice Anupama High Court is proposed to be transferred to the Patna High Court
Andhra Pradesh High Court:
- Justice Manavendranath Roy is proposed to be transferred to the Gujarat High Court
- Justice D Venkataramana is proposed to be transferred to the Madhya Pradesh High Court .
From Allahabad High Court:
- Justice Prakash Padia is proposed to be transferred to the Jharkhand High Court.
- Justice S P Kesarwani is proposed to be transferred to the Calcutta High Court.
- Justice Rajendra Kumar-IV is proposed to be transferred to the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
From Calcutta High Court:
- Justice Shekhar B Saraf is proposed to be transferred to the Allahabad High Court.
- Justice Lapita Banerji is proposed to be transferred to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
- Justice Bibek Chaudhuri is proposed to be transferred to the Patna High Court.
From Karnataka High Court:
- Justice Narendar G of Karnataka High Court is proposed to be transferred to the Orissa High Court.
From Patna High Court:
- Justice Madhuresh Prasad of Patna High Court is proposed to be transferred to the Calcutta High Court.
The President of India has to approve the recommendations of Supreme Court collegium, after consultation with the Union Ministry.
