SC Collegium Recommends Appointment of 10 Judges to HP, MP and Karnataka High Courts

Supreme Court Collegium approves appointment of 10 judges, including three Judicial Officers and seven Advocates.

The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on June 2, 2026, approved proposals for appointment of 10 persons as Judges of the High Courts of Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. Of them, three are Judicial Officers while seven are Advocates.

For the Himachal Pradesh High Court, the Collegium approved the elevation of three Judicial Officers as Judges. They are Chirag Bhanu Singh, Bhupesh Sharma and Yogesh Jaswal.

For the Madhya Pradesh High Court, the Collegium approved the appointment of Amit Lahoti, Advocate, as Judge of the High Court.

Further, the Collegium cleared the appointment of six Advocates as Judges of the Karnataka High Court. They are Raghavendra Seetharam Srivatsa, Hema Kulkarni, Subramanya Rangarao, Thadagavadi Prakash Vivekananda, Bakkeswara Pramod and Hombe Gowda Shanthi Bhushan.
