The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of Justice Avneesh Jhingan, a Judge from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, to the Rajasthan High Court. This resolution was passed on Monday, October 9, 2023, but was made public by the Supreme Court on October 11.
Prior to this new recommendation, the Collegium withdrew its earlier proposal to transfer Justice Avneesh Jhingan to the Gujarat High Court. This previous recommendation, dated August 3, 2023, had been pending with the government since August 11.
