The central deputation tenure of Satyajit Mohanty (IRS-C&IT:1999) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence has been extended for one year.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (10.05.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Defence to extend Mr. Mohanty’s tenure for a further period of one year beyond July 9, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mohanty has been serving in the Department of Defence in this capacity since July 2023.
