Senior IPS officer Saroj Kumar Thakur (IPS:2010:TN) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for five years. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on November 28, 2024, the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Thakur to the post on deputation basis for five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
