Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit appointed as first woman VC of JNU

Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit was on Monday (07.02.2022) appointed as the first woman Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Presently, she is serving as Professor of politics and Public Administration in Savitribai Phule Pune University,

Pandit has been appointed to the post for a period of five years from the date she assumes the charges as the 13th Vice-Chancellor of JNU.

She succeeds M Jagadesh Kumar, who was appointed as higher education regulator University Grants Commission chairperson on Friday.
