Senior IAS officer Sanjeev Chopra (IAS:1990:OR), currently serving as Secretary in Department of Food and Public Distribution under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, has been given additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (30.05.2025), the competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post upon retirement of Subrata Gupta (IAS:1990:OR) on May 31, 2025 till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
