Senior IAS officer Sanjay Kumar (IAS:1990:BH), Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, has been given additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Higher Education. He will replace K Sanjay Murthy (IAS:1989:HP), who was recently appointed as new Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (21.11.2024), the competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post to Mr. Kumar with immediate effect and till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
