Samir Chandra Saxena, Executive Director, Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), has been appointed to the post of Director (Market Operation), Grid-India for five years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (18.07.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Power to appoint Samir Chandra Saxena to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Notably, on 09 April, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) recommended his name to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for approval after interviewing eleven candidates.
