S Sakthimani has been selected as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) in a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on September 03, 2024. Presently, he is serving as Director (Finance), The Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT).
He will be appointed to the post of CMD after receiving vigilance clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
Besides him, only one other candidate interviewed by the PESB. He was Diptendu Ghosh, who is serving as Executive Director, Durgapur Steel Plant, Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL).
