Mrs. Riva Ganguly Das (IFS:1986) was on Thursday appointed as next Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs vice Mrs Vijay Singh Thakur (IFS:1985), the outgoing Secretary superannuating on 30 September 2020.
Presently, she is the High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh.
