The central government has granted a one-year extension to senior IAS officer Ritesh Chauhan (IAS:2005:HP) as the CEO of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. According to a September 30th order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of Mr. Chauhan’s deputation tenure. This extension is effective from September 22, 2023, and will continue until further orders are issued, or the tenure concludes, whichever happens earlier.
