Dr. Reena Vasishta, who currently serves as the Secretary of the Legislative Department, has been appointed as the Incharge of the Central Agency Section within the Ministry of Law and Justice. This appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, as per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
In addition, her position has been upgraded to the rank and pay scale of Secretary to the Government of India, effective from October 2, 2023. This appointment will remain in effect until the date of her superannuation on July 31, 2025, or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
