REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power and a leading NBFC, has been honoured with the Global CSR Excellence & Leadership Awards under the “Best CSR Projects in PSUs” category. The recognition has been conferred for its flagship rural healthcare initiative, Doctor Aapke Dwar, which focuses on improving access to primary healthcare services in remote and underserved regions.
The award was received on behalf of REC by Alok Singh, Chief Program Manager at the Regional Office Mumbai, and Vishal Sudesh, Chief Manager (CSR), during the 15th edition of the awards organised by World CSR Day on February 18, 2026, at Taj Lands End.
This honour further reinforces REC’s role as a key contributor to inclusive and impactful social development.
During the current financial year, REC’s CSR initiatives have received several other recognitions, including the CSR & Sustainability Award from ASSOCHAM, a CSR Award of Appreciation from the Indian Red Cross Society, and recognition at the FICCI India Sports Awards for Best Corporate Promoting Sports in the public sector category.
Together, these honours underline REC’s continued commitment to strengthening social infrastructure and improving quality of life in underserved communities across the country.
