New Delhi: REC Limited’s Corporate Office in Gurugram has been honoured by the Antarrashtriya Hindi Parishad for its outstanding contribution to the promotion and propagation of Hindi as the Official Language and its effective implementation in day-to-day official work.
The honour was conferred at a prestigious ceremony held at the Bihar Legislative Assembly Hall in Patna on August 27, 2026. The award was presented by Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav and Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Prem Kumar.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished personalities, including former Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad, former Union Ministers Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Sanjay Paswan, and former Bihar DGP Alok Raj.
SK Bage, Senior General Manager and Chief Programme Manager (CPM) at REC’s Patna office, received the award on behalf of REC.
The recognition reflects REC’s sustained efforts towards the effective implementation of the Official Language policy and the promotion of Hindi in official work. The organisation has been undertaking various initiatives, including the wider use of Hindi in official functioning, organising training programmes related to the Official Language and promoting the use of Hindi through modern technologies.
The honour also recognises the collective efforts and commitment of REC’s officers and employees towards promoting the use of Hindi in official work. REC said the recognition would further encourage the organisation to continue its efforts for the effective implementation and wider use of the Official Language in the future.
