Ravi Jha (IAS:2011:AGMUT) will continue to serve as the Private Secretary to Piyush Goyal, who holds the portfolios of Minister for Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles. His deputation tenure, which was set to conclude on 16th February 2024, has been extended. This extension was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, as per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, the 17th of October 2023.
Mr. Jha’s extended deputation will be co-terminus with the term of the Minister, or until he no longer holds the position of Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders are issued, depending on whichever event occurs first.
