Ranjana Chopra given additional charge as WCD Secretary

Senior IAS officer Ranjana Chopra (IAS:1994:OR), currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (April 27, 2026), the competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post to her with immediate effect till May 2, 2026 during the period of absence on leave Anil Malik (IAS:1991:HY).
