Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Deputy Managing Director (DMD), State Bank of India (SBI), has been appointed as Managing Director (MD) of SBI. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (06.08.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Singh to the post with effect from the date of assumption of office and up to the date of his attaining the age of superannuation (i.e. 30.06.2027), or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
On April 24, the Financial Services Institutions Bureau recommended the name of Singh as MD in SBI after interviewing of 16 candidates.
Singh is currently serving as DMD (Retail- Personal Banking & Real Estate ) at SBI.
