Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Rakesh Asthana (IAS:1984:GJ) was on Tuesday appointed as the new Commissioner of the Delhi Police initially for a period of one year (i.e. 30.07.2022). He was set to retire on July 31.
Consequent to Asthana’s appointment as Delhi CP the additional charge of DG, BSF has been assigned to ITBP DG S S Deswal (IPS:1984:HY). He has been assigned this charge till the appointment and joining of the regular incumbent or until further orders whichever is earlier.
