Senior IPS officer Rakesh Aggarwal (IPS:1994:HP) has been appointed to the post of Additional Director General in National Investigation Agency (NIA). According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday (11.07.2024), the competent authority has approved appointment of Rakesh Aggarwal to the post on deputation basis. He is currently serving as ADG-cum-CG, Home Guards, CD & Fire Services, Himachal Pradesh Police.
