The central deputation tenure of Rajiv Ranjan Bhagat (IPS:1998:GJ) as Inspector General (IG) in the Special Protection Group (SPG) has been extended for a further period of one year beyond 20.05.2023, i.e. up to 20.05.2024. The temporary upgradation of one vacant post of DIG in SPG to the rank of IG for adjusting Mr. Bhagat will also continue for a further period of one year from 20.05.2023 to 20.05.2024 or till a clear vacancy at IG level is available or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
