Retired IFS officer Rajiv Kumar (IFS:1988:HP) took oath as the Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur on Tuesday. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena administered the oath to him at the state secretariat. Kumar was appointed to the post on September 12, 2024, but the oath ceremony was delayed due to health reasons.
Notably, the Sukhu government had dissolved the previous Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission due to recruitment irregularities. Under Kumar’s leadership, the Aayog is expected to prioritize transparency and integrity in recruitment, addressing past concerns.
