The central government has appointed senior IPS officer Rajesh Arya (IPS:1994:RJ) as the new Chairman of the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO). Prior to this assignment, he was serving as Inspector General of Intelligence in Rajasthan.
The NTRO is a key technical intelligence agency responsible for intelligence gathering and cyber operations to support national security and defence. It operates under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The distinguished officer brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously taught at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in 2017 and worked with the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) in New Delhi. He also held the position of Superintendent of Police (SP) in several important districts of Rajasthan, including Alwar, Kota, Sikar and Karauli.
