Rajeev Kumar Sharma (IPS:1990:RJ), who currently serves as the Director General of Police of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Rajasthan, has been appointed as the Director General of the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPRD). This announcement follows an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
The appointment has received the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), granting Sharma the position of DG of BPRD until his scheduled retirement on June 30, 2026. In assuming this role, Sharma will succeed Balaji Srivastava (IPS:1988:AGMUT), whose tenure concludes at the end of March.
