Umesh Chander Datta (IPS:2000:RJ), IG, Jaipur Range, has been relieved of his current duties for a central deputation as IG in the Special Protection Group (SPG). Consequently, senior IPS officer Anil Kumar Tank (IPS:2006:RJ), IG of Law & Order, has been given additional charge of IG, Jaipur Range until further notice.
Datta has been appointed as IG in the SPG on a deputation basis for five years.
