Major Bureaucratic reshuffle expected in Rajasthan

Ashok Gehlot was, on Monday, sworn-in as new Chief Minister of Rajasthan and is expected to effect a massive reshuffle in the goverment.

It is learnt that Chief Secretary Devendra Bhushan Gupta (IAS:1983:RJ) could be replaced by additional Chief Secretary Mukesh Kumar Sharma (IAS:1984:RJ) who is an additional CS in charge of finance and next in line of seniority. Also, the incumbent DGP State DGP Om Prakash Galhotra (IPS:1985:RJ) may be replaced with Kapil Garg (IPS:1983:RJ).

Further, Kuldeep Ranka (IAS:1994:RJ), Naresh Pal Gangwar (IAS:1994:RJ) and Pawan Kumar Goyal (IAS:1988:RJ) are said to be in the race for the post of Principal Secretary to the CM Ashok Gehlot.

While Ranka is the principal secretary in charge of forest and environment, tourism, art and culture. Gangwar is the principal secretary in charge of school education and Goyal is additional chief secretary of UDH.
