The senior IAS Officer P. Ramesh (IAS:2005:RJ) is all set to join as the Divisional Commissioner of Udaipur. This comes after the senior IAS officer met the state chief secretary Rajeeva Swarup (IAS:1985:RJ) and put forward his grievances. This comes amidst speculations of him opting for Voluntary retirement, allegedly, over his displeasure of handling of his transfer from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited, by the Department Of Personnel.
Ramesh will replace IAS officer Vikas Sitaramji Bhale (IAS:1999:RJ) who was removed from the following violent tribal protests in Dungarpur and Udaipur. According to top government sources, Ramesh is believed to have discussed this issue with the CS as well.
Earlier Ramesh came under ACB radar, after principal secretary (energy) Ajitabh Sharma (IAS:1996:RJ) cancelled a Rs 114 crore work order of Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited project over allegations of irregularities . The matter is still being probed by the ACB.
In Rajasthan, as many as 11 IAS officers have received transfer orders in recent times, notable among them is Senior IAS Officer Aparna Arora (IAS:1993:RJ) who is now given the portfolio of secretary of school education from his prior assignment, secretary of the minorities department. Another notable name is Roli Singh (IAS:1994:RJ) who will be Rajasthan’s new principal resident commissioner in Delhi.
