Raj Kumar Chaudhary has been appointed to the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NHPC Limited. Presently, he is serving as Director (Technical), NHPC Limited.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (06.08.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Power to appoint Mr. Chaudhary to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation with effect from 30.06.2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
On March 7, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) recommended the name of Chaudhary as CMD, NHPC Limited after interviewing 7 candidates.
