Railway employees to get 78 days’ wages as PLB

Around 11.72 lakh non-gazetted Railway employees will be getting Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equivalent to 78 days’ wages. The Union
Cabinet has approved an amount of Rs. 2028.57 crore to pay to 11,72,240 non-gazetted railway employees as PLB. The PLB is given every year to the eligible railway employees before Durga Puja in recognition of their productivity and performance. The amount will be paid to various categories of Railway staff from Train Managers, Loco Pilots and Station Masters to technicians and pointsmen among many others including the ministerial staff.
