R Subrahmanyam (IAS:1985:AP) has been given additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs till the appointment of a regular incumbent. He is Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment. The post of Tribal Affairs fell vacant after Deepak Khandekar (IAS:1985:MP) was on Saturday appointed as Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
